Job Summary

The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Rapides Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive series of learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, simulation-based evaluations, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders. This paid program will equip you with the necessary tools to succeed in today's hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting administration of care in the patient record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and intervene as needed.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to requests, anticipating needs, and resolving issues proactively.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • ACLS certification within 1 year of employment
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
