Job Summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate a cash register, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and handling customer payments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing product information.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and safely around the store.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
