Occupational Therapist - Pediatric Focus

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will work collaboratively to support students in achieving their academic, social, and developmental goals through customized therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and functional performance within the school environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, ensuring alignment with student needs and educational objectives.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, sensory integration activities, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into students' daily routines and educational programs.
  • Monitor and document students' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of goals.
  • Actively participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, contributing valuable insights and expertise to the development of student IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive training and guidance to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs effectively.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and educational systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is highly valued.
