Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - In-Home Care

Nurse Next Door is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Home Care Aide, you will provide personalized care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and perform personal care services as outlined in a care plan. This includes observing clients, reporting changes, and documenting care provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services as directed by the care plan, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with dressing, undressing, and transferring.
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
  • Measure and record height and weight, as needed.
  • Support good skin care and prevent skin breakdown.
  • Assist clients with active and passive range of motion, as defined by the care plan.
  • Provide transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities, and shopping.
  • Participate in client teaching, as outlined in the care plan.
  • Ensure client rights are respected, including the right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Registered on the Idaho State Health Care Aide Registry.
  • Minimum of one year of documented experience, preferred.
  • Certified in CPR.
  • Criminal background check clearance.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
Work Environment:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes and institutions. The position requires standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is also required.
