This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the StateJobsNY team as a Plant Utilities Assistant. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physical plant.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain physical plant equipment, including HVAC and boiler systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Read and record meter readings to track energy usage
- Assist in cleaning mechanical rooms and other areas as needed
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 1 year of full-time hands-on experience in the maintenance and operation of commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities
- Knowledge of HVAC and boiler systems, including diagnosis, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
