Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in subjects related to healthcare delivery, including cardiopulmonary care.
  • Assess and manage cardiopulmonary conditions, including respiratory therapy and critical care.
  • Provide exceptional learning experiences for students, promoting their success and career development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, applying knowledge to enhance teaching and student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or MSN-SME, Physician Assistant (PA), and/or MD, DO in the state of Florida.
  • 2 years of clinical practice as a respiratory therapist and/or evidence of specialized expertise in assessment/management of cardiopulmonary conditions.
  • Commitment to providing instruction for a diverse student population, with excellent interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of learning and assessment theories and methods, with the ability to apply pedagogy to teaching.
  • Evidence of initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability, with a high level of technical skills and subject matter knowledge.
