Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable Case Maker Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality cases for our book manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders accurately to verify binding type, bulk, trim size, margins, and production lengths.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Team to follow daily production orders.
  • Set up and operate machinery to produce cases that meet established quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections for quality assurance, ensuring all products meet our rigorous standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in training new operators and support team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematics and measurement tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in attendance.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires working in a factory setting with exposure to various environmental factors. Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a noisy environment and use appropriate safety gear.
