Kennel Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Kennel Assistant to join our team at American Veterinary Group. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kennel area, including cleaning and mopping.
  • Care for boarding animals, including feeding and administering medication as prescribed.
  • Bathe animals and provide a high level of care for all pets.
  • Perform general cleaning duties throughout the hospital.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and positive communication skills.
  • Be energetic and have excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
  • Be compassionate and caring towards animals and clients.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
