About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control on all nuclear medicine equipment and maintain the radiopharmaceutical laboratory.
  • Administer correct doses of radiopharmaceuticals to patients and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, and training.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff via telephone and computer, and complete appropriate medical/legal documentation.
  • Ensure a safe and effective medical exam, and maintain required certifications and licenses.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
  • Current State of Louisiana Nuclear Medicine Technologist License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required.
