Job Overview
This position requires a highly skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse with significant experience in managing patient care. As a key member of our PACU team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual patient needs, developing tailored care plans to ensure optimal recovery.
- Medication Administration and Management: Accurately administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and coordinate interventions.
- Patient Education: Provide clear, concise information to patients and families regarding treatment options, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, reduce readmissions, and promote evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in a PACU setting
- Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic patient care
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
