Role Summary: The Production Worker plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating various machinery, including chop saws, band saws, and bending equipment. This position is essential for maintaining production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to facilitate the production workflow.
- Ensure materials are produced at optimal rates.
- Perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and transporting materials.
- Follow established guidelines and instructions to execute job functions effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance of the facility.
- Carry out physical inspections for production and quality assurance.
- Maintain a strong safety awareness regarding machinery and the work environment.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Ability to identify pipes by size and type.
- Familiarity with measuring tools, including tape measures.
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
- General understanding of warehouse operations.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and skills.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Previous experience is advantageous.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions.
- Capacity to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work in typical warehouse temperature conditions.
- Desire to learn about warehouse and company operations.
