Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Pre-K Counts Teacher in planning and implementing programs for children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Establish effective relationships with children, parents, and staff, maintaining open communication and ensuring a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in activities with small and large groups of children, implementing age-appropriate gross and fine motor activities, and promoting language development, creative expression, and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide positive discipline and support children's physical and hygienic needs, encouraging self-help skills and promoting a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with staff to assess program goals and implement recommendations, maintaining regular communication and demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of our families.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by taking necessary precautions and adhering to Seton Center policies and state requirements.
  • Interact with parents and community by establishing and maintaining good relationships, attending extracurricular activities, and supporting community events.
  • Meet professional expectations by attending mandatory workshops, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to high standards of professional ethics.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Preschool Child Development Associate's (CDA) certificate or 60 college credits.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Clearance requirements including Federal Criminal History Record Information, PA Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance, and PA State Police Request for Criminal Records Check.
