Job Summary

Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreperson to join our team. As a Foreperson, you will be responsible for leading a crew of vegetation management professionals and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Direct and manage a crew of vegetation management professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan, assign, and execute specific tasks in a safe and professional manner, overseeing the performance of crew members and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Perform daily reporting using our AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information, maintaining accurate records of time, equipment, and material usage.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain excellent customer relations, notifying private property owners of our presence on their property, obtaining permission to trim or remove trees, and discussing issues related to access, power interruption, and work to be done.
  • Equipment and Material Management: Oversee equipment and material usage, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are secure on the truck and that cleanup is completed efficiently.
  • Personnel Management: Assist in personnel management, including delegating work and taking accountability for the performance of the crew.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two years' experience in vegetation management, with prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew, delegates work and takes accountability for the performance of a crew, ability to read and understand contract requirements, knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants, experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
