Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, preparing bid takeoffs and cost estimates, completing bid documents, and preparing a well-written proposal for electrical construction projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Review project documentation and prepare bid takeoffs and cost estimates
- Complete bid documents and prepare a well-written proposal for electrical construction projects
- Manage multiple tasks and work well under time pressure
- Adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude
- Interact professionally with all levels of employees, management, vendors, customers, and others
- Years of experience with commercial and industrial electrical estimating preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Experience in estimating, or in closing construction estimates
- Experience in Accubid software (or other estimating software)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in managing multi-disciplined projects, a plus
- Strong conceptual estimating skills with limited information
- Understanding plans and specifications
- Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
