We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CDL Operator Trainee to join our team at the Pennsylvania State Government. As an Equipment Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for operating highway construction and maintenance equipment, performing manual laboring duties on a highway or bridge maintenance crew, and operating specialized equipment such as snow plows, steel wheeled rollers, and tractor mounted grass and brush blowers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: snow plows, steel wheeled rollers, tractor mounted grass and brush blowers, and tractor maintainers.
- Perform manual laboring duties on a highway or bridge maintenance crew, including but not limited to: clearing debris, repairing equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of highway construction and maintenance equipment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid CDL license.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform manual laboring duties.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
