Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a CVPICU RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2 years of recent experience in a dedicated CVPICU setting.
  • Ability to float to other critical care units as needed (NICU/PICU).
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
