Custodian Position Overview

  • Conduct thorough cleaning of office spaces, corridors, reception areas, communal rooms, entrances, exits, and restrooms.
  • Discreetly manage waste collection and disposal.
  • Shred documents for secure disposal as instructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors through regular sweeping and mopping.
  • Communicate supply requirements to the Operations Manager.
  • Organize and replenish program materials as necessary.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding consumer and organizational information.
  • Adhere to policies regarding attendance and punctuality.
  • Follow established safety and health protocols.
  • Identify areas for enhancing service quality.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in English language.

Work Environment:

Work will take place in general office and residential settings. The role requires sensory skills for effective communication and operation of custodial equipment. There may be some risks associated with interactions with consumers.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs. Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
