About the Role

Five Chophouse & Bar is a vibrant and dynamic upscale steakhouse located in the heart of Fredericksburg, VA. We are committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests, and we're looking for a skilled Maître d'/Sommelier to join our team.

In this role, you will oversee our wine program, manage our wine list, and provide expert advice on wine pairings to our guests. You will also be responsible for leading our team, mentoring staff, and developing new ideas to drive sales and revenue growth. Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a lead or seasoned professional server in fine dining or luxury hospitality, with additional experience as a Maître d', Sommelier, or similar role preferred.
  • Certification in wine studies (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent) is highly valued.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and manage costs effectively.
  • A passion for hospitality, teamwork, and curating unforgettable guest experiences.
