Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is a vital member of our team at The Arbors at Franklin Township, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our physical structures and grounds. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on buildings, including electrical and plumbing systems, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Repair and replace appliances, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain the grounds by cutting grass, trimming weeds, and performing other landscaping tasks.
  • Clean internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and ability to use them effectively.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and exert fast-paced mobility.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a variety of settings, including indoors and outdoors.
  • Exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as outside weather conditions.
  • Occasional work in high, precarious places and around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
Physical Demands:
  • Continually required to stand, walk, and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds.
