Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at SSM Health in a Weekend Only position. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Contribute to the assessment of patients and develop individualized care plans to ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Lab Tests and Therapeutic Services: Perform laboratory tests and provide therapeutic services as needed.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care.
  • Work Environment: Work in a safe and alert manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant Use: Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant Standing and Walking: Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent Lifting/Carrying: Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent Sitting and Keyboard Use: Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent Use of Vision and Depth Perception: Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent Use of Smell: Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent Use of Hearing: Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Occasional Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional Lifting/Moving of Patients: Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
  • Occasional Bending and Stooping: Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional Driving: Occasional driving.
  • Rare Crawling and Running: Rare crawling and running.
Licenses/Certifications:

Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License.
