KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional assistance with inpatient and outpatient services, including interpreting prescriptions and maintaining stock levels.
  • Prepare, label, and store medications for both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accurate identification and availability.
  • Assist in the selection, compounding, and labeling of IV solutions, adhering to sterile techniques and precise calculations.
  • Maintain the integrity of emergency crash carts stocked with necessary medications, ensuring readiness in case of emergencies.
  • Fulfill orders for drug supplies for wards and clinics, ensuring sufficient stock to meet patient needs.
  • Perform inventory management, tracking stock levels and bulk IV solutions to prevent shortages or overages.
Requirements
  • Active certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • College-level training experience is desirable but not required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
