Senior Welding Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Welding Inspector to join Reliable Testing Services LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of welded materials and ensuring they meet AWS/ASNT high-quality standards.

About the Role

• Inspect welds at various structural steel sites to ensure compliance with AWS/ASNT standards
• Select random samples and test using various standard methods
• Approve or reject samples based on quality standards and inspections
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing outcomes
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Responsibilities

1. Review blueprints and written instructions to understand quality requirements for each product

2. Select random samples and test using various standard methods

3. Approve or reject samples based on quality standards and inspections

4. Use necessary tools in the course of testing products

5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing outcomes

6. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times

7. Assist in NDT examination techniques, including selecting, preparing, loading, calibrating, or operating equipment used in non-destructive testing

8. Basic mechanical knowledge is required

9. Able to work a demanding and flexible schedule, including long periods of time, nights, weekends, and call outs on short notice

10. Able to drive long distances for travel and work at heights

11. Able to lift objects up to 75 pounds on uneven terrain

12. A valid driver's license and insurance are required

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CWI or NDT Inspector is preferred
• Understanding of welding and quality control is beneficial
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other software applications is advantageous

Salary and Benefits
