Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the General Surgery/Vascular/Trauma Stepdown Unit. This role is ideal for those aspiring to advance their careers in critical care nursing or those who thrive in high-acuity environments.

Work Schedule:

  • 3 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) OR
  • 3 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm) OR
  • 3 12-hour rotating shifts (50% Days; 50% Nights)

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma).
  • For experienced nurses, a minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience is required.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current North Carolina RN licensure or compact RN licensure.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Professional specialty certification is preferred for experienced nurses.

Unit Profile:

The General Surgery & Vascular Trauma Stepdown Unit is dedicated to providing outstanding care to patients recovering from major surgeries and trauma. Our 32-bed unit focuses on abdominal and vascular surgeries, as well as trauma cases, fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking and teamwork.
