Key Responsibilities:
The Buffet Preparation Cook is responsible for:

  • Interpreting recipes and preparing food items efficiently.
  • Reviewing daily prep lists to determine required quantities.
  • Heating and placing food products in hot wells as needed.
  • Storing food items in designated containers, ensuring proper labeling and dating.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including equipment and surfaces.
  • Assisting management in monitoring food costs.
  • Adhering to kitchen safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Implementing the First In First Out (FIFO) method for food rotation.
  • Utilizing cleaning agents according to safety guidelines.
  • Completing all assigned daily tasks and ensuring proper checkout with management.
  • Delivering friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Punctually reporting for scheduled shifts.

Additional Duties:
The role may include other responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant, retail, or customer service environment is preferred.
