Meat Cutter Job Description

At Greer's Markets, we're seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, handle, and store meat products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Cut, trim, and present fresh meats to meet customer expectations.
  • Understand and implement our ground beef program, including grinding, holding procedures, and handling of fresh trim.
  • Fully stock and rotate all meat cases to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure accurate quality and grade of all meat products.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our meat products and services to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a meat cutting or butchery role.
  • Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
