Job Title: School Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Interim HealthCare of Western Michigan - Staffing. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to students in a school setting.

Job Summary:

The School Nurse will be responsible for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care to students according to the policies and procedures of the school. This includes consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the school
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Provide basic first aid care
  • Complete patient documentation
  • Care for a student with asthma and watch for seizures
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN in Michigan
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • One year of pediatric experience is required
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communication skills, and compassion
