Job Overview

KE Camps is a leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide, partnering with over 230 private clubs across the country. As a Summer Day Camp Counselor, you will be part of our team implementing traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children.

The role involves participating in all camp activities, assisting the Camp Director with daily tasks, and ensuring a memorable and meaningful camp experience for campers. You will interact with campers throughout the day, helping them make friends, try new things, and care for their well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a group of campers to provide a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience.
  • Cooperate with fellow Counselors and the Camp Director.
  • Greet families and campers upon arrival.
  • Support the Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers.
  • Participate in all camp activities.
  • Supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner from within the water.
  • Help out where needed and lead activities when asked to by the Camp Director.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified before the summer begins.
  • Ability to help children grow in character, experiences, and insights.
  • Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, consistent, level-headed, flexible, and calm in all situations.
