Key Responsibilities of a Custodian/Janitor:
- Ensure cleanliness of all floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Adhere to protocols for utilizing chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage to surfaces and furnishings.
- Maintain and oversee the cleanliness of restrooms, fitting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
- Dispose of waste properly by emptying trash receptacles and utilizing compactors for specific materials.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
- Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
- Restock paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
- Follow the established housekeeping schedule diligently.
- Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery, including floor scrubbers and backpack vacuums.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned based on the scope of work or client requirements.
Qualifications for Success:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to pass a drug screening when required.
- Previous cleaning experience is advantageous.
Position Details:
- Part-Time position requiring 15 hours per week.
- Work schedule includes weekends.
- Compensation up to $14.00 per hour.
