Job Title: Clinical Rheumatologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Rheumatologist to join our team at the University of Kentucky. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care, teach and mentor students and residents, and contribute to the advancement of rheumatology research.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care for patients with rheumatic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis.
  • Supervise residents and fellows in ambulatory and hospital-based settings, ensuring they receive comprehensive training in rheumatology.
  • Participate in clinical teaching activities, including lectures, seminars, and clinical conferences, to educate students, residents, and fellows about rheumatology.
  • Support the clinical research mission of the Division of Rheumatology by developing and supervising clinical protocols, accruing patients to clinical trials, and participating in regulatory oversight programs.
  • Represent the University of Kentucky in a professional manner as an active member of the medical staff, participating in medical staff affairs and adhering to evidence-based practice standards.
Requirements:
  • MD degree or equivalent.
  • Residency and completion of fellowship training in Rheumatology.
  • Kentucky Medical License at time of employment.
