About the Role
  • This position is well-suited for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality support in speech and language services to students under the supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists.
  • As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will work closely with our team to provide crucial support in conducting screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders, implementing therapy activities and interventions, and enhancing speech, language, voice, and fluency skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders.
  2. Implement evidence-based therapy activities and interventions under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
  3. Support students in developing effective communication skills, either individually or in small groups.
  4. Contribute to the development and maintenance of individualized treatment plans in coordination with the supervising SLP.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and effectively communicate with the supervising SLP, teachers, parents, and other team members.
  6. Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Completion of a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program.
  • State certification or licensure as required by regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow guidance from licensed professionals.

Estimated Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
