Job Summary:

As a Cardiovascular Specialist at AH Rocky Mountain, you will play a vital role in providing specialized cardiovascular care to patients. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for performing and reviewing baseline patient assessments, evaluating patient responses to diagnostic cardiac procedures, and operating and maintaining diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs accurate and thorough echocardiograms as ordered by physicians.
Performs specialized testing using computer-assisted devices, including TEE, Stress Echo, and Pharmacological Stress Echos.
Cross-trained to perform EKGs, Treadmills, and Holter monitors as needed.
Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration of machines.
Maintains a high skill level through participation in CQI, in-services, ongoing education, and attendance at 80% of staff meetings.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Currently registered at the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or via CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).
Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science, including but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing. OR graduate of a programmatically accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).
