Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate physician orders for appropriateness and promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Process orders, select products, compound, label, and repack medications, and maintain accurate records.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals on drug use and provide information and guidance.
  • Ensure timely availability of medications to patients.
  • Interact with patients to determine allergy status, medication history, and educate on therapy as needed.
Requirements
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
  • Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, drug literature review, adverse drug reactions, and computer applications.
Education and Certifications
  • Graduate from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Maintain licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Ohio.
Experience
  • Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
