Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Community High School District 218. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

About the Role:
  • Responsible for performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces, as well as restocking supplies and materials.
  • Physically capable of safely lifting, carrying, and maneuvering equipment and supplies, with a minimum weight capacity of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and perform light maintenance and repair duties, including tightening loose screws and replacing light bulbs.
  • Must be able to climb and work safely on ladders and step stools, with a maximum height of 12 feet.
  • Ability to safely handle and mix cleaning chemicals, following all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Repetitive bending and working in confined spaces, with the ability to navigate through narrow aisles and tight spaces.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, safety protocols, and facility policies.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor at all times.
Requirements:
