About the Role

The Housing Bridge Specialist plays a vital role in our transitional housing program, working with clients and landlords to secure suitable housing for adults with serious mental illness.

This position involves a combination of office and field-based activities, including orienting participants to the program, providing housing search and supportive services, and promoting self-sufficiency and integration into the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and clinicians to complete housing applications and provide supportive services
  • Manage individual tenant files and track applications and updates in electronic medical records and property management programs
  • Oversee timely completion of apartment inspections, lease renewals, and annual recertifications
  • Assist clients with identifying initial rental needs and resources, such as security deposits and utility setup
  • Serve as the point of contact for landlords, clinicians, and housing entities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Organizational, written, and verbal skills
  • Basic computer experience to process email and client access
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
