We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Float Pool team at University Hospitals. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Function in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio Board of Nursing and maintain current licensure and certification.
- Complete and submit required documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of patient information.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a positive and supportive care environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
- 2+ years of nursing experience, with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.
- Knowledge of LPN scope of practice, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and IV certification (unit-dependent).
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
