Concurrent Enrollment Advisor

Weber State University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Concurrent Enrollment Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Dual Enrollment Advising Team, you will play a vital role in providing academic advisement to high school students pursuing college credit and/or a credential in General Studies.

• Provide academic advisement to high school students, including course selection, academic planning, and career guidance.
• Work closely with high school counselors, teachers, and administrators to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high school students, parents, and guardians to promote WSU's Concurrent Enrollment program.
• Collaborate with WSU faculty and staff to ensure accurate and timely advisement.
• Stay up-to-date on university policies, procedures, and programs to provide informed advisement.

• Bachelor's degree.
• One year full-time college employment experience in academic advisement, registration, admissions, financial aid, student services, enrollment services, or equivalent in higher education and/or the K-12 system.

• Strong verbal communication, written communication, listening, record keeping, and information management skills.
• Ability to retain knowledge concerning university and department policies, think critically, and make appropriate judgment calls.
• Ability to become a skilled user of Banner and other technological tools.
• Customer-service orientation, due to the importance of positive first impressions and subsequent contacts with internal and external constituents.
