Job Description

At Ryder System, we are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of light duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
  • Assist or receive guidance from a higher-grade maintenance specialist to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Perform basic diagnostics and hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Represent Ryder to establish relationships with customers and ensure proper documentation of work orders and repair notes.
  • Work in accordance with all federal, regional, and corporate compliance guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
  • Two years or more in combination of classroom training and work experience.
  • Non-commercial driver's license, CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license, CLASS A, preferred.
  • State driver's license, as required.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test and previous employer's for the past 3 years, DOT physical, Ryder road test, pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
