Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Nutrition Services Manager to join our team at Community Development Institute Head Start. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health and nutrition services, including family services, health services, nutrition, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and nutrition programs to improve the well-being of our students and their families.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other managers, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality health and nutrition services.
  • Manage and oversee the CACFP program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance health and nutrition services.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health and nutrition best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and nutrition programs and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as public health, nutrition, or health education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public health or nutrition, preferably in a management or leadership role.
  • Experience working with low-income clients and communities.
  • Knowledge of family-strengths/family-centered practice and public health principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
