- Arizona Department of Health Services - Certified Mammographic Technologist license
- Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligibility to undertake advanced level examination with proof of clinical experience.
- Completion of a two-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
- Experience with diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
- Deliver services and support in the following areas:
- Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in executing complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Generate high-quality images for the radiologist's assessment.
- Clearly communicate procedures to patients and educate women on the importance of regular mammography for preventative breast health.
- Maintain a patient-first approach at all times and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- Effectively communicate with individuals and small groups, including doctors, patients, and other staff members.
- Consistently apply excellent mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Conduct quality control activities related to mammography.
- Assist in the collection and maintenance of statistical data.
- Ensure privacy and comfort for patients.
