Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, and Saturdays 7:45am-12:00pm on rotation

Qualifications Required:
  • Arizona Department of Health Services - Certified Mammographic Technologist license
  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligibility to undertake advanced level examination with proof of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Experience with diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
Typical Responsibilities of a Breast Imaging Specialist:
  • Deliver services and support in the following areas:
    • Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in executing complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
    • Generate high-quality images for the radiologist's assessment.
    • Clearly communicate procedures to patients and educate women on the importance of regular mammography for preventative breast health.
    • Maintain a patient-first approach at all times and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
    • Effectively communicate with individuals and small groups, including doctors, patients, and other staff members.
    • Consistently apply excellent mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
    • Complete necessary documentation accurately.
    • Conduct quality control activities related to mammography.
    • Assist in the collection and maintenance of statistical data.
    • Ensure privacy and comfort for patients.
