Radiologic Technologist

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology department at University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients and physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform examinations and maintain patient care
- Identify relevant data from images accurately and communicate pertinent data clearly to healthcare professionals
- Participate in crafting a culture of patient safety and demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness
- Verify patient identification and documentation, and connect with and educate patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam
- Achieve quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
- Ensure patient data integrity and accurately complete computer functions, including editing, scheduling, billing, status changes, and image transfers in a timely manner
- Accurately mark and manipulate digital images, and participate as an active team member
- Orient and mentor new employees and students, and participate in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
- Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for the position
- Clean and maintain rooms and supplies, and provide coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care
- Contribute to a positive work environment and perform other duties as assigned
- ARRT Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Preferred: 1 year experience as a technologist
