Key Responsibilities- Proficiently operate various pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical records to ensure accurate medication preparation and dispensing.
- Responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous medications, adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines.
- Perform at a higher level by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining a high level of accuracy in medication handling and delivery.
- Collaborate with pharmacy personnel to ensure proper medication safety practices, including look-alike, sound-alike, high-alert, expirations, and recalls.
- Maintain competency and ongoing training in specialized areas, including sterile compounding.
- Assist in training of pharmacy personnel, as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure seamless operations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Active registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB or NHA certification obtained within 6 months of hiring.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy with sterile compounding.
