Job Summary

Azusa Pacific University seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Student Health Center team. As a primary care provider, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to undergraduate, graduate, and international students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to ambulatory patients, including physical exams, health histories, and diagnostic testing
  • Evaluate and treat workers' compensation injuries and prepare applicable paperwork
  • Perform women's health exams, including Pap smears, and minor surgical procedures
  • Order and interpret diagnostic lab tests, x-rays, and imaging
  • Furnish prescriptive medications and provide health promotion education
  • Assist in maintaining Nurse Practitioner protocols and participate in regular Health Center staff meetings
  • Act as a mentor in precepting nurse practitioner students and participate in strategic planning and assessment of Learning Outcomes for the Student Health Center
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid California license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Furnishing License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Two years of experience in clinical medicine preferred
