Micro Trench Laborer

Tilson is a leading provider of information infrastructure solutions, and we are seeking a skilled Micro Trench Laborer to join our team.

The Micro Trench Laborer will be responsible for performing various tasks to support daily operations at a telecom construction site. This includes loading and unloading tools, raw materials, and equipment, as well as digging and filling pits throughout the construction process.

• Trench, place duct, pull cable, and direct bury main-line and drops
• Locate and verify all utilities before construction
• Perform restoration back to existing conditions

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outdoor or construction industry experience preferred
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Valid US driver's license

This job operates in a field environment and requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and standing. The employee will also work in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

This position is physically active, with lifting required. The employee must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position, you can expect a pay range of $26.00.
