As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and validating engine and aftertreatment control systems for current and future diesel, dual fuel, and spark ignited natural gas engine products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop control and simulation requirements for engine and aftertreatment systems
  • Model control algorithms for system simulation and control software generation
  • Model engine and engine subsystem physical dynamics
  • Perform system simulation and performance analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience developing performance, controls, or behavioral system simulations of heavy-duty diesel engines, spark ignited engines, dual fuel engines, engine aftertreatment systems, and subsystems. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience will also be considered.

You must also have experience with MATLAB, Simulink with Control Systems Toolbox, Vector CANape, GTPower, classical control theory with Single Input Single Output (SISO) systems, and the control system development process, including verification and validation through simulation, bench testing, and on-engine testing. Additionally, 2 years of product development experience using NPI and NTI process is required.

This role involves 10% domestic travel to support troubleshooting issues at customer sites.
