Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with speech, language, and communication disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence and improve communication skills.
  • Conduct assessments and re-evaluations to determine the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate with patients, families, and caregivers to achieve treatment goals.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques to support independence and quality of life.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth and development of the department and profession.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) certification.
  • Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan or temporary license during the CFY.
  • Experience working with adult and pediatric populations with neurological speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
