Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the mechanical trades. As a Pipefitting Apprentice, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in pipefitting, while working on a variety of projects and learning from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Perform entry-level general pipefitting duties under supervision
  • Develop good working and safety habits
  • Understand and use power and hand tools
  • Attend MTech Mechanical Apprenticeship training classes
  • Document hours of employment
  • Perform laborer tasks, including sweeping, cleaning, and delivering materials
  • Assist journeyman in all phases of work
  • Read non-complex blueprints and detail drawings
  • Help install equipment
  • Document hours of employment
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school graduate/GED
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn through on-the-job training and technical school courses
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
Work Environment

As a Pipefitting Apprentice, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with opportunities to work on a variety of projects and learn from experienced professionals. You will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. You may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
