Maintenance Team Lead Job Description

Prysmian Group is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at the Claremont Fiber Plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve daily production issues and improve overall plant performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping in maintenance support areas (5S compliance).
  • Prepare and execute shift turnovers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical schematics to aid in equipment troubleshooting.
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to specify, locate, and order parts and materials as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of leadership within the organization, both orally and in written form.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fiber optic manufacturing.
  • Experience with Servo control drives and motors.
  • Familiar with PLC logic and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience with (or knowledge of) facilities equipment such as pumps, boilers/chillers, cooling towers, baghouses, and scrubbers.
