Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at DSW. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and supporting the sales floor and warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance as needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean store environment, including the sales floor, cashwrap, and stockroom.
- Process incoming shipments, complete markdowns, and maintain clearance standards.
- Complete customer transactions, including cashwrap and digital orders.
- Operate a calculator and enter data via the register keyboard.
- Follow all asset protection policies and procedures.
- Participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training.
Requirements
- Professional, friendly, and respectful demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to move with tempo to meet time-bound expectations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of technology to engage with customers.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
- Lifting, including the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience as a Cashier, Retail Floor Generalist, or Store Receiver.
