Division Overview:
ITW Residential and Renovation Construction specializes in premium cordless nailing systems and fastening solutions, catering to the productivity and reliability needs of professional remodelers and residential framers. Position Summary:
This role involves the setup, operation, and preventive maintenance of fastener manufacturing machinery, ensuring production aligns with quality standards in a safe manner.

Work Schedule:
Split Shift | Monday - Friday | 10:00am-6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate various inline machinery for the cold heading, pointing, and thread rolling of fasteners used in commercial construction.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance on machinery, including preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform quality inspections in accordance with specification sheets and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Promote safety practices by identifying potential hazards.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
  • Inspect all incoming tooling thoroughly.
  • Monitor production equipment performance and assist in implementing upgrades and enhancements.
  • Determine tooling requirements and evaluate parts and product designs.
  • Assist with machinery installation as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards.
  • Engage in 6-S activities and improvements as required.
  • Collaborate with and train fellow team members while participating in team events and meetings.
  • Be prepared to operate machinery as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in high-volume manufacturing is highly preferred, particularly in equipment setup, operation, and preventive maintenance.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including potential mandatory overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, following detailed instructions.
  • Prior experience with hand tools is advantageous.
  • Capability to identify parts and problems, offering effective solutions.
  • Must thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary due to travel requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • General housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
