Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Driver to join our team at Richelieu Hardware. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for delivering complete, accurate, and on-time shipments to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Orders: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver orders to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Prepare Truck for Operation: Load and secure products, verify shipping papers, and inspect the vehicle to ensure safe and cost-effective performance.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Load and unload materials onto trucks at Richelieu and customer locations, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicle: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle's tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other essential systems to ensure safe and cost-effective operation.
  • Communicate with Company: Maintain open communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received and implemented.
  • Document Deliveries: Accurately document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer, reporting any discrepancies to the company.
  • Represent the Company: Represent Richelieu Hardware in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner, adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL: Possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.
  • Good Driving Record: Maintain a good driving record, with a focus on safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Reliable Team Player: Demonstrate a dedicated and reliable team player attitude, with a focus on achieving company goals and objectives.
